Timing is a cool way to get more low end. I could probably swap out my clutch and adjust timing a bit more, my temps are still slightly lower than this thing can do. My issue now is low end, once I get over about 20mph, I have no issue w/ acceleration past that. Mopeds over 50mph are kinda scary, they don't have the disc brakes and nice suspension of a newer scooter/motorcycle. With 70cc, I have more top end than I'm comfortable using honestly. You can get a kit for like $120, pipe $100, and a VM20 for under $100. Even w/ a 70cc machine, you're still going to wish you had more power when you hit a stoplight on a big hill, in the rain, w/ a line of cars behind you. You aren't going to have a fast machine just by swapping out the carb and adjusting timing. FYI the airsal 70cc is great and you can use your stock head, you just need the cylinder and piston and if your sha is a 15 you just upjet to 78 or above and a nice pipe ( buy one good one and you can use it on all future builds) Take your time and read or meet up with some local puch fans. A lot of headaches will come later on if you don't know what you are doing and start trying to get as much speed as possible. STAY AWAY FROM THE TREATS 50cc (no bottom end you have been warned) but the tip about the gearing is a great one bc its easy to switch out and with a proper carb/exhaust setup you will enjoy the ped a bit more.

Personally I hate the SHA carb depending on what size it is you should be able to keep it on when you go to a 70cc upgrade but it's a bitch to keep an idle on e50s.
